Chapham’s Cutting and Sanding Compound moistens the wood of your turning blanks, reducing wood dust and the risk of cracking. It also slightly softens the wood, keeping your blades sharper, longer. Since it raises the grain, it reduces the amount of sanding needed in the end, especially if you plan to use a water-based finish.
